Social Wellness Club: Rooftop
The rooftop restaurant of Flow, a social wellness club, was designed to feel restorative and inspire health.
In line with the concept of balancing energy, as described in the Social Wellness Club overview, the restaurant is on the “calm” side of the building. It features desaturated tones of earthy hues, making the space feel airy and fresh.
The Design Concept: Yin and Yang
To represent yin and yang, the idea that seemingly contrary forces are complementary, energetic areas are separated from calm areas by a central staircase in the shape of a sine curve.
The juice bar and restaurant are covered under roofs on the ‘calm’ side, whereas the pool is on the bright ‘energetic’ side. The saturation of colors and patterns emphasizes the difference in areas.
